The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 20%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, Italy (X units) represented the major exporter of machinery for sorting, mixing, agglomerating, shaping or moulding of mined solids, achieving 41% of total exports. Germany (X units) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a 16% share, followed by the Netherlands (8.4%) and Spain (5.1%). By contrast, the UK (-2.2%) and Germany (-3.2%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Italy and the Netherlands increased by +14 and +7.3 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest machinery for sorting, mixing, agglomerating, shaping or moulding of mined solids supplying countries in Europe were Germany ($X), the UK ($X) and Italy ($X), with a combined 61% share of total exports. Finland, the Netherlands, Spain, Poland, Russia, Denmark, Portugal, Serbia and Slovenia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 19%.

Slovenia, with a CAGR of +10.3%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($X per unit), while Serbia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Serbia (+4.8%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In general, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 with an increase of 79%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units.
