Over the period under review, the non-numerically controlled laexports attained the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, non-numerically controlled lathe exports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, exports, however, showed a noticeable descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 17%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, Bulgaria (X units) and Germany (X units) represented the major exporters of non-numerically controlled horizontal lathes, for removing metal in Europe, together committing 45% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Slovakia (X units), Italy (X units), Austria (X units), the UK (X units) and the Czech Republic (X units), together mixing up a 30% share of total exports. The following exporters - Belarus (X units), the Netherlands (X units), Belgium (X units), France (X units), Spain (X units) and Sweden (X units) - together made up 17% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the key exporting countries, was attained by the Netherlands (with a CAGR of +36.3%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest non-numerically controlled lathe supplying countries in Europe were Germany ($X), Bulgaria ($X) and Austria ($X), together comprising 43% of total exports. These countries were followed by Italy, Slovakia, France, Belarus, Spain, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK and Sweden, which together accounted for a further 38%.
The Netherlands, with a CAGR of +17.2%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Europe stood at $X per unit in 2021, which is down by -18.7% against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 11%. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was France ($X per unit), while Sweden ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (-5.4%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

In 2021, imports of non-numerically controlled horizontal lathes, for removing metal in Europe surged to X units, growing by 22% on 2020 figures. Total imports indicated temperate growth from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.7% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +76.8% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 24% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked in 2021 and is likely to see steady growth in the near future.

From 2019 to 2021, the import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Portugal ($X per unit), while the UK ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
