In 2022, Switzerland (X tons), distantly followed by Italy (X tons), Germany (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons), Spain (X tons), France (X tons) and Poland (X tons) represented the largest exporters of organic derivatives of hydrazine or of hydroxylamine, together comprising 90% of total exports.

Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 11%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, hydrazine and hydroxylamine derivatives imports rose slightly to $X in 2022. Total imports indicated a prominent expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +67.2% against 2017 indices. France (X tons) took a 5.7% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Austria (5.1%) and Spain (4.9%). Russia (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Austria (with a CAGR of +23.5%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest hydrazine and hydroxylamine derivatives importing markets in Europe were Switzerland ($X), Italy ($X) and Germany ($X), together accounting for 60% of total imports. France, the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Austria and Russia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 33%.
Among the main importing countries, Austria, with a CAGR of +32.7%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when the import price increased by 47%. Over the period under review, import prices attained the peak figure at $X per ton in 2021, and then dropped slightly in the following year.
