In 2021, the Europe boiler parts market was finally on the rise to reach $X after two years of decline. In general, consumption, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The export price in Europe stood at $X per ton in 2021, shrinking by -3% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 6.3%. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per ton), while Poland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.3% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

The purchases of the five major importers of parts of boilers for central heating, namely Germany, Austria, the UK, France and the Netherlands, represented more than half of total import. Poland (X tons) held a 5.7% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Italy (5.3%) and Belgium (5.1%). Spain (X tons), Slovakia (X tons), Russia (X tons), Bosnia and Herzegovina (X tons) and Switzerland (X tons) took a relatively small share of total imports.

In value terms, the largest boiler parts importing markets in Europe were Germany ($X), France ($X) and the Netherlands ($X), with a combined 45% share of total imports. These countries were followed by the UK, Italy, Austria, Poland, Slovakia, Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, Russia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which together accounted for a further 46%.

Among the main importing countries, Poland, with a CAGR of +7.4%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2021, the import price in Europe amounted to $X per ton, dropping by -2.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a pronounced reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 2.1%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2014 to 2021, the import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per ton), while Bosnia and Herzegovina ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
