In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the largest poultry-keeping machinery supplier in Europe, comprising 47% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Italy ($X), with a 22% share of total exports. It was followed by the Netherlands, with a 19% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Germany amounted to -1.9%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Italy (-1.8% per year) and the Netherlands (-2.0% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2022, the export price in Europe amounted to $X per unit, with an increase of 7.9% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($X per unit), while Russia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+3.1%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Poultry-keeping machinery imports fell to X units in 2022, which is down by -5.3% against the year before. Over the period under review, imports saw a abrupt contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when imports increased by 8.4%. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, poultry-keeping machinery imports dropped to $X in 2022. In general, imports continue to indicate a deep reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by 15%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, Russia (X units), distantly followed by France (X units), the Netherlands (X units), the UK (X units), Spain (X units), Poland (X units) and Italy (X units) represented the key importers of poultry-keeping machinery, together making up 75% of total imports. The following importers - Belgium (X units), Romania (X units), Serbia (X units), Hungary (X units) and the Czech Republic (X units) - together made up 12% of total imports.
