After two years of growth, the Europe pump for liquid market decreased by -17.9% to $X in 2021. The total consumption indicated a pronounced increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +2.4% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, consumption attained the peak level of $X. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of the market remained at a lower figure.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +55.3% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 33% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

In value terms, pump for liquid exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +2.2% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Exports by Country

Germany represented the main exporter of pumps for liquids and liquid elevators in Europe, with the volume of exports amounting to X units, which was approx. 34% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Italy (X units), France (X units), the Czech Republic (X units), Hungary (X units) and Spain (X units), together achieving a 40% share of total exports. The Netherlands (X units), the UK (X units), Romania (X units), Poland (X units), Belgium (X units), Austria (X units) and Denmark (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Germany experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of exports of pumps for liquids and liquid elevators. At the same time, Romania (+33.4%), the Netherlands (+27.1%), Hungary (+26.8%), Poland (+16.5%), Spain (+12.9%), Belgium (+12.5%), Denmark (+12.5%), France (+9.4%), Italy (+9.3%), the Czech Republic (+9.0%) and the UK (+3.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Romania emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Europe, with a CAGR of +33.4% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Austria (-2.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Romania, France, Spain and the Czech Republic increased by +4.7, +4.1, +3.2, +3.2, +2.4, +2.1 and +1.7 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the largest pump for liquid supplier in Europe, comprising 32% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Italy ($X), with a 14% share of total exports. It was followed by the Czech Republic, with a 7.4% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Germany stood at +1.2%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Italy (+2.0% per year) and the Czech Republic (+4.1% per year).

Export Prices by Country

The export price in Europe stood at $X per unit in 2021, almost unchanged from the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a pronounced descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 an increase of 13% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2016 to 2021, the export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($X per unit), while Hungary ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Austria (+1.1%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the export price figures.

Pump For Liquid Imports

Imports in Europe

After five years of growth, overseas purchases of pumps for liquids and liquid elevators decreased by -4.4% to X units in 2021. Total imports indicated resilient growth from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +7.2% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +86.9% against 2012 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 30%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units, and then dropped modestly in the following year.

In value terms, pump for liquid imports soared to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.8% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country

Germany (X units) and the UK (X units) were the major importers of pumps for liquids and liquid elevators in 2021, finishing at near 20% and 15% of total imports, respectively. It was distantly followed by Hungary (X units), France (X units), Poland (X units), Belgium (X units) and Italy (X units), together generating a 32% share of total imports. Spain (X units), Russia (X units), Austria (X units), Ukraine (X units), the Netherlands (X units) and the Czech Republic (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

In 2021, the import price in Europe amounted to $X per unit, rising by 21% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a noticeable decline. Over the period under review, import prices reached the maximum at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per unit), while Ukraine ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
