Exports by Country
Germany (X tons) and the Czech Republic (X tons) represented roughly 34% of total exports in 2021. Russia (X tons) held the next position in the ranking, followed by Italy (X tons), Spain (X tons), Austria (X tons), Poland (X tons) and France (X tons). All these countries together took near 42% share of total exports. The Netherlands (X tons), Belgium (X tons), Belarus (X tons), Romania (X tons) and Slovenia (X tons) held a relatively small share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Romania (with a CAGR of +16.3%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the largest textile rubber hose supplier in Europe, comprising 33% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the Czech Republic ($X), with a 9.9% share of total exports. It was followed by Italy, with a 9.6% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Germany was relatively modest. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: the Czech Republic (-0.8% per year) and Italy (-3.5% per year).

The export price in Europe stood at $X per ton in 2021, approximately reflecting the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the export price increased by 7.5%. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per ton), while Belarus ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In 2021, overseas purchases of rubber hose reinforced with textiles were finally on the rise to reach X tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a two-year declining trend. In general, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 6.8%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, textile rubber hose imports totaled $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, showed a perceptible reduction. The level of import peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, Germany (X tons), distantly followed by Russia (X tons), Italy (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons), Spain (X tons), France (X tons) and the UK (X tons) were the largest importers of rubber hose reinforced with textiles, together comprising 67% of total imports. Poland (X tons), Belgium (X tons), Austria (X tons), Hungary (X tons) and Romania (X tons) held a little share of total imports.
