In 2021, overseas shipments of rubber tubing not reinforced were finally on the rise to reach X tons after two years of decline. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.2% from 2012 to 2021; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when exports increased by 14%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, non-reinforced rubber tubing exports expanded sharply to $X in 2021. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +1.1% from 2012 to 2021; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 12%. The level of export peaked in 2021 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Exports by Country

Germany (X tons) and Poland (X tons) represented the largest exporters of rubber tubing not reinforced in 2021, accounting for approx. 30% and 27% of total exports, respectively. Italy (X tons) ranks next in terms of the total exports with a 13% share, followed by Russia (5.6%). The UK (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons), France (X tons), Spain (X tons), Sweden (X tons), Belgium (X tons) and the Czech Republic (X tons) held a relatively small share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Poland (with a CAGR of +11.1%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the largest non-reinforced rubber tubing supplier in Europe, comprising 36% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Poland ($X), with a 17% share of total exports. It was followed by Italy, with a 9.7% share.

In Germany, non-reinforced rubber tubing exports remained relatively stable over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Poland (+10.8% per year) and Italy (-6.0% per year).

The export price in Europe stood at $X per ton in 2021, rising by 5.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 6.9% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($X per ton), while Russia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Sweden (+5.5%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the amount of rubber tubing not reinforced imported in Europe surged to X tons, jumping by 25% against 2020. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.0% over the period from 2012 to 2021; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, non-reinforced rubber tubing imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.1% from 2012 to 2021; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country

The purchases of the twelve major importers of rubber tubing not reinforced, namely Germany, France, Poland, Spain, Bulgaria, Italy, the UK, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Russia, the Netherlands and Romania, represented more than two-thirds of total import. Hungary (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the key importing countries, was attained by Bulgaria (with a CAGR of +14.1%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Germany ($X), France ($X) and Poland ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2021, with a combined 31% share of total imports. The UK, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Belgium, Romania, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Russia and Hungary lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 44%.

Bulgaria, with a CAGR of +16.7%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

The import price in Europe stood at $X per ton in 2021, increasing by 2.6% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a mild slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 5.9% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Romania ($X per ton), while Spain ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
