Germany (X units) and the Netherlands (X units) were the key exporters of television, video and digital cameras in 2022, amounting to approx. 23% and 23% of total exports, respectively. Hungary (X units) took a 12% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by the Czech Republic (6.8%), Ireland (6.1%) and Poland (5.6%). From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the leading exporting countries, was attained by Hungary (with a CAGR of +18.5%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest television, video and digital camera supplying countries in Europe were the Netherlands ($X), Germany ($X) and Hungary ($X), with a combined 62% share of total exports.
Hungary, with a CAGR of +13.6%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, purchases abroad of television, video and digital cameras decreased by -6.5% to X units for the first time since 2016, thus ending a five-year rising trend. Overall, imports recorded a pronounced downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 21% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, television, video and digital camera imports reduced to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a perceptible decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 13% against the previous year.
