The export price in Europe stood at $X per unit in 2021, picking up by 1.8% against the previous year. In general, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when the export price increased by 17% against the previous year. The level of export peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the UK ($X per unit), while Greece ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

In 2021, the import price in Europe amounted to $X per unit, surging by 6.1% against the previous year. Over the last nine-year period, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.4%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the import price increased by 12%. The level of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
