The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +85.6% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 31% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
Exports by Country
The Netherlands represented the key exporter of video monitors in Europe, with the volume of exports recording X units, which was near 39% of total exports in 2021. The Czech Republic (X units) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a 15% share, followed by Poland (13%) and Germany (8.5%). Hungary (X units), Slovakia (X units), Sweden (X units), Belgium (X units), Spain (X units), France (X units) and Denmark (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Exports from the Netherlands increased at an average annual rate of +7.3% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Hungary (+23.8%), the Czech Republic (+22.8%), Poland (+19.8%), Denmark (+19.0%), Sweden (+12.3%), Slovakia (+5.3%), France (+4.7%) and Spain (+3.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Hungary emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Europe, with a CAGR of +23.8% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Germany (-1.5%) and Belgium (-1.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of the Czech Republic (+10 p.p.), Poland (+8.3 p.p.) and Hungary (+3.1 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of Belgium (-2.9 p.p.) and Germany (-10.1 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the Netherlands ($X) remains the largest video monitor supplier in Europe, comprising 39% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Poland ($X), with a 12% share of total exports. It was followed by Germany, with a 12% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in the Netherlands stood at +8.8%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Poland (+20.5% per year) and Germany (+2.3% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Europe stood at $X per unit in 2021, increasing by 6.8% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when the export price increased by 11% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was Belgium ($X per unit), while Spain ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+3.9%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in Europe
In 2021, the amount of video monitors imported in Europe expanded rapidly to X units, picking up by 10% compared with the previous year's figure. Total imports indicated a buoyant increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.4% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +82.1% against 2015 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 47%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

Total imports indicated resilient growth from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.3% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +71.1% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 18% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2021 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

In 2021, the Netherlands (X units), distantly followed by Germany (X units), France (X units), the Czech Republic (X units), Poland (X units), the UK (X units) and Russia (X units) represented the largest importers of video monitors, together committing 72% of total imports. Italy (X units), Spain (X units), Belgium (X units), Sweden (X units), Slovakia (X units) and Denmark (X units) held a relatively small share of total imports.

Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in Europe amounted to $X per unit, rising by 6.5% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 13% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2018 to 2021, the import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, major importing countries recorded the following prices: in Sweden ($X per unit) and the UK ($X per unit), while France ($X per unit) and the Czech Republic ($X per unit) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+7.7%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
