In 2022, shipments abroad of ceramic tiles was finally on the rise to reach X square meters after three years of decline. Overall, exports, however, saw a noticeable decline. The exports peaked at X square meters in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, ceramic tile exports shrank to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, showed a abrupt decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 19%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Russia (X square meters) was the main destination for ceramic tile exports from Finland, with a 83% share of total exports. Moreover, ceramic tile exports to Russia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Sweden (X square meters), more than tenfold. Estonia (X square meters) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 5.2% share.
