For the fourth year in a row, the Finnish dolomite market recorded decline in sales value, which decreased by -19.8% to $X in 2021. Overall, consumption continues to indicate a abrupt contraction. As a result, consumption attained the peak level of $X. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of the market remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, dolomite exports shrank markedly to $X in 2021. Overall, exports continue to indicate a sharp downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when exports increased by 137% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

The United States (X tons) was the main destination for dolomite exports from Finland, accounting for a 88% share of total exports. Moreover, dolomite exports to the United States exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Estonia (X kg), more than tenfold.
