The exports peaked at X litres in 2021, and then dropped rapidly in the following year.

In value terms, non-alcoholic beverage, not containing milk exports reached $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, enjoyed a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when exports increased by 107% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

Sweden (X litres) was the main destination for non-alcoholic beverage, not containing milk exports from Finland, accounting for a 58% share of total exports. Moreover, non-alcoholic beverage, not containing milk exports to Sweden exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Estonia (X litres), threefold. China (X litres) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 5.2% share.

Over the period under review, total imports indicated a prominent expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +90.5% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 28%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
