Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Norway ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Slovakia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+7.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, purchases abroad of prefabricated buildings decreased by -20.6% to X units, falling for the third year in a row after two years of growth. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 63%. Imports peaked at X units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, prefabricated buildings imports fell to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, enjoyed a temperate increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when imports increased by 132%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Estonia (X units) constituted the largest supplier of prefabricated buildings to Finland, accounting for a 49% share of total imports. Moreover, prefabricated buildings imports from Estonia exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Sweden (X units), threefold. Lithuania (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 12% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from Estonia totaled +13.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Sweden (-4.3% per year) and Lithuania (+70.1% per year).
In value terms, Estonia ($X) constituted the largest supplier of prefabricated buildings to Finland, comprising 46% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Sweden ($X), with a 17% share of total imports. It was followed by Lithuania, with a 10% share.
