In 2022, the amount of airplanes and other aircraft imported into France dropped notably to X units, falling by -16.5% compared with the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, total imports indicated perceptible growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +20.0% against 2020 indices. The United States (X units), the UK (X units) and Slovakia (X units) were the main suppliers of aircraft imports to France, with a combined 67% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by the UK (with a CAGR of +40.6%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($X per unit), while the price for Germany ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Myanmar (+3,423.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
