For the fifth year in a row, the French canned meat market recorded decline in sales value, which decreased by -54.5% to $X in 2021. Overall, consumption faced a abrupt curtailment. Over the period under review, the market attained the maximum level at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, consumption failed to regain momentum.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 13% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
