In 2021, the average non-numerically controlled lathe export price amounted to $X per unit, surging by 12% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 48% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Algeria ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Uganda ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a pronounced increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 with an increase of 87% against the previous year.
