The French silver market skyrocketed to $X in 2021, picking up by 86% against the previous year. There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was China ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Mexico ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Silver imports into France skyrocketed to X tons in 2021, growing by 63% against the year before. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a buoyant increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +7.0% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
