In 2021, the export price in GCC amounted to $X per unit, picking up by 152% against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a significant expansion. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($X per unit), while Saudi Arabia totaled $X per unit.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 160% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

The United Arab Emirates was the key importer of cards incorporating a magnetic stripe in GCC, with the volume of imports finishing at X units, which was near 75% of total imports in 2021. Kuwait (X units) held a 19% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Qatar (4.5%).
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to magnetic card imports into the United Arab Emirates stood at +4.4%. At the same time, Qatar (+4.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Qatar emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in GCC, with a CAGR of +4.8% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Kuwait (-10.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period.
