The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 357% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, cotton-seed oil imports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports saw a prominent increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 145%. The level of import peaked at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Saudi Arabia dominates imports structure, amounting to X tons, which was near 85% of total imports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Qatar (X tons), generating an 8.2% share of total imports. The United Arab Emirates (X tons) and Kuwait (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Saudi Arabia was also the fastest-growing in terms of the crude cotton-seed oil imports, with a CAGR of +26.8% from 2012 to 2021.
