In 2022, the GCC food mixer market decreased by -8.1% to $X for the first time since 2017, thus ending a four-year rising trend. The total consumption indicated prominent growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.7% over the last decade. The United Arab Emirates prevails in exports structure, accounting for X units, which was near 90% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Oman (X units), making up a 4.6% share of total exports. Bahrain (X units) held a minor share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to food mixer exports from the United Arab Emirates stood at -2.6%. At the same time, Oman (+33.3%) and Bahrain (+11.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Oman emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in GCC, with a CAGR of +33.3% from 2012-2022. The export price in GCC stood at $X per unit in 2022, shrinking by -6.6% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.3%. After five years of growth, purchases abroad of domestic food grinders and mixers and fruit or vegetable juice extractors decreased by -13.2% to X units in 2022. Total imports indicated a moderate expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.7% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +111.9% against 2016 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 34%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units, and then contracted in the following year.

In value terms, food mixer imports shrank markedly to $X in 2022. In general, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 37%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then plummeted in the following year.

Imports by Country

The United Arab Emirates prevails in imports structure, amounting to X units, which was near 85% of total imports in 2022. Kuwait (X units) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Qatar (X units). All these countries together took near 11% share of total imports. Oman (X units) held a little share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to food mixer imports into the United Arab Emirates stood at +3.2%. At the same time, Qatar (+13.8%), Oman (+7.7%) and Kuwait (+4.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Qatar emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in GCC, with a CAGR of +13.8% from 2012-2022. Qatar (+2.7 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while the United Arab Emirates saw its share reduced by -3.7% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the United Arab Emirates ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported domestic food grinders and mixers and fruit or vegetable juice extractors in GCC, comprising 79% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kuwait ($X), with an 8.2% share of total imports. It was followed by Qatar, with a 5.7% share.

In the United Arab Emirates, food mixer imports expanded at an average annual rate of +3.8% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Kuwait (+2.2% per year) and Qatar (+4.6% per year).
