Over the period under review, the export prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Bahrain ($X per unit), while the United Arab Emirates ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kuwait (-1.8%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Imports in GCC

In 2021, imports of electric heating resistors in GCC soared to X units, with an increase of 75% against the previous year's figure. Overall, imports showed a resilient expansion. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, electric heating resistor imports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a pronounced descent. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

The United Arab Emirates dominates imports structure, recording X units, which was approx. 80% of total imports in 2021.
