Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($X per ton), while Saudi Arabia stood at $X per ton.

In 2021, purchases abroad of industrial tall oil fatty acids was finally on the rise to reach X tons after three years of decline. Over the period under review, imports posted significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 770%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, tall oil fatty acids imports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 882% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2021 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

The import price in GCC stood at $X per ton in 2021, growing by 19% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, import prices reached the maximum at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
