The United Arab Emirates was also the fastest-growing in terms of the organic derivatives of hydrazine or of hydroxylamine exports, with a CAGR of +13.4% from 2012 to 2022. Imports in GCC
In 2022, supplies from abroad of organic derivatives of hydrazine or of hydroxylamine decreased by -10.8% to X tons for the first time since 2017, thus ending a four-year rising trend. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 42%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons, and then declined in the following year.
In value terms, hydrazine and hydroxylamine derivatives imports declined sharply to $X in 2022. In general, imports saw a slight setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 58% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
The United Arab Emirates dominates imports structure, finishing at X tons, which was approx. 87% of total imports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Bahrain (X tons), achieving a 6.9% share of total imports. The following importers - Kuwait (X tons) and Qatar (X tons) - together made up 6.5% of total imports.
