Exports from the United Arab Emirates increased at an average annual rate of +6.1% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Oman (+67.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Oman emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in GCC, with a CAGR of +67.0% from 2012-2022. While the share of the United Arab Emirates (+5.8 p.p.) and Oman (+2 p.p.) increased significantly, the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the United Arab Emirates ($X) remains the largest textile tubing supplier in GCC, comprising 97% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Oman ($X), with a 2.3% share of total exports.

Export Prices by Country
The export price in GCC stood at $X per ton in 2022, reducing by -15.4% against the previous year. Export price indicated a moderate expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, textile tubing export price increased by +15.1% against 2018 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when the export price increased by 53% against the previous year. Imports in GCC
After two years of decline, supplies from abroad of textile hosepiping and similar textile tubing increased by 17% to X tons in 2022. In general, imports, however, showed a abrupt curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 17% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, textile tubing imports stood at $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded a abrupt decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 31% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
The United Arab Emirates dominates imports structure, amounting to X tons, which was near 83% of total imports in 2022. Oman (X tons) held a 6.1% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Kuwait (5.6%). Qatar (X tons) and Bahrain (X tons) took a minor share of total imports.
Imports into the United Arab Emirates decreased at an average annual rate of -8.8% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Oman (+11.3%) and Kuwait (+5.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Oman emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in GCC, with a CAGR of +11.3% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Bahrain (-5.4%) and Qatar (-10.4%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Kuwait increased by +17, +5.4 and +4.5 percentage points, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the United Arab Emirates ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported textile hosepiping and similar textile tubing in GCC, comprising 76% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Kuwait ($X), with an 8.9% share of total imports. It was followed by Oman, with an 8% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in the United Arab Emirates stood at -4.4%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Kuwait (+10.9% per year) and Oman (+11.6% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The import price in GCC stood at $X per ton in 2022, shrinking by -11.9% against the previous year. Import price indicated a moderate expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, textile tubing import price increased by +11.3% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 29%. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Kuwait ($X per ton), while the United Arab Emirates ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
