The German brassiere market was finally on the rise to reach $X in 2021, after two years of decline. The market value increased at an average annual rate of +3.4% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 17% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, brassiere imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +4.7% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of brassiere to Germany, with a 49% share of total imports. Moreover, brassiere imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Bangladesh (X units), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Indonesia (X units), with a 6.2% share.
