Bridge Market Size in Germany

The German bridge market soared to $X in 2021, jumping by 32% against the previous year. Over the period under review, consumption, however, saw a pronounced downturn. Bridge consumption peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, consumption stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, bridge production expanded markedly to $X in 2021 estimated in export price. Overall, production, however, showed a pronounced slump. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X tons in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

The Netherlands (X tons), Poland (X tons) and France (X tons) were the main destinations of bridge exports from Germany, together accounting for 48% of total exports. These countries were followed by Austria, Belgium, the UK, Sweden, Italy, Russia, Greece, the United States, Turkey and Switzerland, which together accounted for a further 42%.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Greece (with a CAGR of +216.8%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
