France (X cubic meters), the Netherlands (X cubic meters) and the United States (X cubic meters) were the main destinations of fiberboard exports from Germany, with a combined 30% share of total exports.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 15% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X cubic meters in 2021, and then shrank significantly in the following year.
In value terms, fiberboard imports fell to $X in 2022. In general, total imports indicated a tangible increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +3.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +44.7% against 2015 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 27%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then reduced in the following year.

In 2022, Poland (X cubic meters) constituted the largest supplier of fiberboard to Germany, accounting for a 41% share of total imports. Moreover, fiberboard imports from Poland exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Austria (X cubic meters), fourfold. France (X cubic meters) ranked third in terms of total imports with an 8.9% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Poland totaled +10.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Austria (-5.1% per year) and France (-2.8% per year).

The second position in the ranking was held by Austria ($X), with a 15% share of total imports. It was followed by Switzerland, with an 11% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Poland totaled +12.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Austria (-2.9% per year) and Switzerland (-3.1% per year).

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($X per cubic meter), while the price for France ($X per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
