For the fourth year in a row, the German heat pump market recorded growth in sales value, which increased by 49% to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, consumption enjoyed a buoyant increase. As a result, consumption reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In 2021, the average heat pump import price amounted to $X per unit, remaining stable against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 27% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $X per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
