The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +1.4% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being observed throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 8.4%. The exports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

France (X tons) was the main destination for honey exports from Germany, accounting for a 26% share of total exports. Ukraine (X tons), Argentina (X tons) and Mexico (X tons) were the main suppliers of honey imports to Germany, together accounting for 50% of total imports. Romania, Brazil, Cuba, China, Hungary, Chile, Bulgaria, Spain, Vietnam and Italy lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 38%.
