The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 17% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2021, and then fell rapidly in the following year.
In value terms, mango and mangosteen imports contracted sharply to $X in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated a remarkable increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.7% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 23% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2021, and then reduced rapidly in the following year.

Brazil (X tons), Peru (X tons) and Spain (X tons) were the main suppliers of mango and mangosteen imports to Germany, together comprising 73% of total imports. The average mango and mangosteen import price stood at $X per ton in 2022, flattening at the previous year. In general, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average import price increased by 9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Burkina Faso ($X per ton), while the price for Mali ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
