Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, mushroom and truffle imports shrank notably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a pronounced shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 8.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2021, and then shrank markedly in the following year.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Poland (X tons) constituted the largest mushroom and truffle supplier to Germany, accounting for a 72% share of total imports. Moreover, mushroom and truffle imports from Poland exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the Netherlands (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Belgium (X tons), with a 2.1% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from Poland stood at +2.5%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the Netherlands (-6.7% per year) and Belgium (+20.9% per year).
In value terms, Poland ($X) constituted the largest supplier of mushrooms and truffles to Germany, comprising 63% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the Netherlands ($X), with a 27% share of total imports. It was followed by Belgium, with a 2.9% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from Poland totaled +2.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the Netherlands (-5.5% per year) and Belgium (+26.5% per year).

In general, the import price continues to indicate a slight curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 8.2% against the previous year.
