Turkey (X units), India (X units) and China (X units) were the main destinations of non-numerically controlled lathe exports from Germany, together accounting for 22% of total exports. These countries were followed by Austria, Iran, Italy, France, Switzerland, Egypt, Poland, Belgium, Russia and Hungary, which together accounted for a further 37%.

Among the main countries of destination, Belgium, with a CAGR of +21.0%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a deep slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 15%. Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Iran ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when imports increased by 52%. Imports peaked at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, non-numerically controlled lathe imports totaled $X in 2021. In general, imports recorded a noticeable downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 19% against the previous year. Over the period under review, non-numerically controlled laimports hit record highs at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of non-numerically controlled lathe to Germany, accounting for a 56% share of total imports. Moreover, non-numerically controlled lathe imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, India (X units), fivefold. The Czech Republic (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 5.3% share.
