Oat Market Size in Germany

The German oat market shrank modestly to $X in 2022, with a decrease of -4.3% against the previous year. In general, consumption, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, consumption attained the peak level of $X. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the market remained at a somewhat lower figure.

The Netherlands (X tons), Switzerland (X tons) and Austria (X tons) were the main destinations of oat exports from Germany, with a combined 84% share of total exports. Italy, Poland and Denmark lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 12%.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the countries with the highest prices were Ireland ($X per ton) and Austria ($X per ton), while the price for Finland ($X per ton) and France ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.
