For the third year in a row, the German radiator market recorded growth in sales value, which increased by 6.7% to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, consumption, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. Radiator consumption peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, consumption stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In terms of the main countries of destination, the Netherlands, with a CAGR of +6.9%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average radiator export price stood at $X per ton in 2022, picking up by 14% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.1%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Romania ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+7.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, supplies from abroad of radiators for central heating (not electrically heated) increased by 2.8% to X tons, rising for the second year in a row after two years of decline. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.4% from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 12%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, radiator imports contracted to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.7% from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations being observed in certain years. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 15% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then contracted modestly in the following year.

Poland (X tons), Italy (X tons) and the Czech Republic (X tons) were the main suppliers of radiator imports to Germany, together comprising 65% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Italy (with a CAGR of +10.7%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest radiator suppliers to Germany were Poland ($X), the Czech Republic ($X) and Italy ($X), with a combined 64% share of total imports.
The Czech Republic, with a CAGR of +6.6%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average radiator import price stood at $X per ton in 2022, falling by -6.4% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when the average import price increased by 9.6%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per ton), while the price for Poland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
