Austria (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons) and Poland (X tons) were the main suppliers of cattle hide and skin imports to Germany, together comprising 58% of total imports. These countries were followed by Italy, Belgium, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Denmark and France, which together accounted for a further 35%.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Slovenia (with a CAGR of +12.2%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
