In 2022, after two years of decline, there was significant growth in the German textile wadding market, when its value increased by 9.5% to $X. Over the period under review, consumption, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to the United States ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the average import price increased by 11% against the previous year.
