The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when exports increased by 26% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
Poland (X units) was the main destination for bracelet exports from Germany, accounting for a 29% share of total exports. Moreover, bracelet exports to Poland exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Austria (X units), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by France (X units), with an 8.7% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to Poland stood at +27.0%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Austria (+10.5% per year) and France (+4.9% per year).
In value terms, the largest markets for bracelet exported from Germany were Switzerland ($X), Portugal ($X) and France ($X), together comprising 45% of total exports. Italy, the United States, Austria, the Netherlands, the UK, Spain, Poland, Belgium, the United Arab Emirates and the Czech Republic lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 43%.

In 2022, bracelet imports into Germany skyrocketed to X units, jumping by 23% on 2021. In general, total imports indicated pronounced growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.0% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +29.9% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 26% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, bracelet imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated prominent growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +52.3% against 2020 indices. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of bracelet to Germany, with a 82% share of total imports. It was followed by Switzerland (X units), with a 2.5% share of total imports. The third position in this ranking was taken by Hong Kong SAR (X units), with a 1.8% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China stood at +2.9%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Switzerland (+0.8% per year) and Hong Kong SAR (-15.4% per year).
In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of watch straps, bands and bracelets to Germany, comprising 63% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Switzerland ($X), with a 12% share of total imports. It was followed by France, with a 5.9% share.
