In 2021, supplies from abroad of windows, french windows and their frames of wood decreased by -1.7% to X tons, falling for the second consecutive year after four years of growth. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 111%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, wooden window imports totaled $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a resilient expansion. In 2021, Poland (X tons) constituted the largest wooden window supplier to Germany, with a 64% share of total imports. Slovakia (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 7.3% share.
