The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 16% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X square meters, and then declined in the following year.

In value terms, woven carpet imports dropped to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.0% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 23% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then fell in the following year.

In 2022, Turkey (X square meters) constituted the largest woven carpet supplier to Germany, accounting for a 48% share of total imports. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average import price increased by 5.6%. There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($X per square meter), while the price for Bangladesh ($X per square meter) was amongst the lowest.
