In 2021, imports of instruments and apparatus for measuring or checking the flow or level of liquids into Ghana shrank remarkably to X units, reducing by -16.3% compared with the year before. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a deep slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when imports increased by 128%. Imports peaked at X units in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, measuring instrument imports expanded markedly to $X in 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a abrupt descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of 173%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of measuring instrument to Ghana, accounting for a 41% share of total imports. Moreover, measuring instrument imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the United States (X units), threefold. Austria (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 5.8% share.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average import price increased by 43%.
