Nigeria (X units) was the main destination for plastic doors and windows exports from Ghana, with a 73% share of total exports. From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Nigeria stood at +13.3%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Burkina Faso (+17.1% per year) and Togo (-32.6% per year).

Imports into Ghana
Plastic doors and windows imports into Ghana rose modestly to X units in 2022, picking up by 2.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports recorded strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 90%. Imports peaked at X units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, plastic doors and windows imports declined slightly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports posted a strong expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when imports increased by 117%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
