Transport Container Market Size in Ghana

The Ghanian transport container market contracted to $X in 2022, declining by -8.1% against the previous year. Overall, consumption, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 84%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest transport container supplier to Ghana, with a 31% share of total imports. Moreover, transport container imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Belgium (X units), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by Finland (X units), with a 10% share.
