China dominates exports structure, recording X tons, which was near 71% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Norway (X tons) and the Netherlands (X tons), together mixing up a 13% share of total exports. Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, the Netherlands (+27.3%), Iceland (+20.4%), Poland (+7.2%), Norway (+4.5%) and France (+1.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the Netherlands emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +27.3% from 2012-2022. Spain experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. While the share of China (+10 p.p.), the Netherlands (+4 p.p.) and Iceland (+1.9 p.p.) increased significantly, the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest carbon electrode supplier worldwide, comprising 56% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Spain ($X), with an 8.1% share of global exports. It was followed by France, with a 6.9% share.
