In value terms, gravel and crushed stone exports reduced slightly to $X in 2021. The following exporters - Mexico (X tons), France (X tons), India (X tons), Canada (X tons), Belarus (X tons) and the UK (X tons) - together made up 21% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by India (with a CAGR of +26.7%), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest gravel and crushed stone supplying countries worldwide were China ($X), Norway ($X) and Germany ($X), together accounting for 26% of global exports. The United Arab Emirates, Oman, Belgium, France, Canada, India, the UK, Mexico, Belarus and Indonesia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 37%.
Among the main exporting countries, Oman, with a CAGR of +25.6%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the average gravel and crushed stone export price amounted to $X per ton, growing by 12% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, the largest gravel and crushed stone importing markets worldwide were the Netherlands ($X), Germany ($X) and Kuwait ($X), together accounting for 23% of global imports. The United States, Qatar, Singapore, Bangladesh, France, Belgium, Poland, Russia, Taiwan (Chinese) and Luxembourg lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 37%.

In 2021, the average gravel and crushed stone import price amounted to $X per ton, shrinking by -6.6% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 12% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
