The following exporters - Turkey (X units), India (X units), Mexico (X units), the Czech Republic (X units), Tunisia (X units), France (X units), South Korea (X units), Poland (X units), Thailand (X units) and Belgium (X units) - together made up 23% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to fuel filter exports from China stood at +7.7%. At the same time, Turkey (+18.7%), India (+14.2%), Tunisia (+10.6%), Thailand (+8.7%), South Korea (+5.6%), the Czech Republic (+2.9%) and Mexico (+1.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Turkey emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +18.7% from 2012-2022. Poland and the United States experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Germany (-1.5%), France (-3.3%) and Belgium (-5.2%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of China (+18 p.p.), Turkey (+2.4 p.p.) and India (+1.9 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the global exports from 2012-2022, the share of France (-1.5 p.p.), Belgium (-1.8 p.p.), the United States (-3 p.p.) and Germany (-3.7 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Germany ($X), the United States ($X) and China ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, together comprising 46% of global exports. Mexico, the Czech Republic, France, Poland, Belgium, Turkey, Thailand, India, South Korea and Tunisia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 29%.

Turkey, with a CAGR of +14.3%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

In 2022, the average fuel filter export price amounted to $X per unit, surging by 6.6% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.8%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when the average export price increased by 26% against the previous year. The global export price peaked at $X per unit in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.6% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 22%. Global imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

The United States (X units) and Mozambique (X units) represented roughly 49% of total imports in 2022. Russia (X units), Germany (X units), Brazil (X units), Canada (X units), China (X units), France (X units), Australia (X units) and the UK (X units) held a relatively small share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the key importing countries, was attained by Mozambique (with a CAGR of +20.9%), while imports for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
