The United States (X units) took a minor share of total exports.

China experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of exports of photographic (other than cinematographic) cameras. At the same time, Germany (+14.5%), Hong Kong SAR (+2.7%) and Thailand (+1.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Germany emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +14.5% from 2012-2022. The Netherlands experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. In value terms, China ($X), the United States ($X) and Hong Kong SAR ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, with a combined 46% share of global exports. The Netherlands, Thailand, Germany and the Philippines lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 23%.

Among the main exporting countries, the Netherlands, with a CAGR of +17.3%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

The average photo camera export price stood at $X per unit in 2022, remaining stable against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.3%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when the average export price increased by 18% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
