Exports from China decreased at an average annual rate of -8.8% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Romania (+59.3%), Japan (+40.7%), the Netherlands (+36.3%), Poland (+24.8%), the UK (+15.7%), Russia (+10.3%), Spain (+10.1%), Brazil (+8.6%) and Germany (+4.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Romania emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +59.3% from 2012-2021. Denmark experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Argentina (-8.9%) and Turkey (-36.0%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. China (+13 p.p.), Brazil (+7.8 p.p.), the UK (+6.8 p.p.), the Netherlands (+6.6 p.p.), Germany (+6.2 p.p.), Poland (+3.6 p.p.), Spain (+3.5 p.p.), Argentina (+3 p.p.), Russia (+2.7 p.p.), Romania (+2.6 p.p.) and Japan (+1.6 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global exports, while Turkey saw its share reduced by -37% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Germany ($X), China ($X) and Brazil ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021, together comprising 45% of global exports. Argentina, Spain, the UK, the Netherlands, Turkey, Romania, Poland, Denmark, Russia and Japan lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 23%.

In terms of the main exporting countries, Romania, with a CAGR of +54.2%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

In 2021, the average centrifugal clothes-dryer export price amounted to $X per unit, with an increase of 6.4% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated buoyant growth from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +6.1% over the last nine years.
