The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +2.0% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. In value terms, the largest transmission shaft supplying countries worldwide were Germany ($X), China ($X) and the United States ($X), together comprising 45% of global exports. Japan, Italy, Taiwan (Chinese), India, France, South Korea, Spain, Mexico, Turkey and Denmark lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 33%.
India, with a CAGR of +15.0%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average transmission shaft export price stood at $X per ton in 2022, which is down by -2.8% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a mild decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the average export price increased by 5.1% against the previous year. The average transmission shaft import price stood at $X per ton in 2022, leveling off at the previous year. In general, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average import price increased by 3.9% against the previous year. Global import price peaked at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($X per ton), while Thailand ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
